Snow in Denver

Snowy scenes from around Denver.

It’s been a dry year, so when the snow began to fall recently, it was time to get out and photograph. This series was all taken at night to capture as clean of snow as possible. Plus, it’s easier to stand in the middle of the street for long periods of time without being ran over :).

This week the warm weather is returning, but with March historically being Colorado’s highest precipitation month, hopefully there will be more opportunities to come.

So many angles to capture the water tower in Olde Town Arvada. On this particular evening I explored many of them while exploring on foot near my place.
One of my favorite views of the Denver skyline. When redeveloping the Union Station neighborhood several years ago, they purposely kept sight lines open to not block the view of the historic train station. And for that, I thank them.
When I walked around this evening I had little in terms of a plan. So, I was super excited to come upon this old truck just moments after leaving my place.
Another old truck. The fresh coat of snow reflecting the street lights, which then helped illuminate the truck, literally stopped me in my tracks as I walked by.
And finally, the historic Oxford Hotel in front of Union Station.
